Moreover, there can be no doubt that Gould, whose fascination with new technology was unlimited, would have been thrilled by this development: The quirky and reclusive genius would have liked nothing better than to give ‘live’ concerts without having to be there.”

FCC Considers Leasing TV Space To Small Business
“Broadcasters do not always use all their assigned capacity. Often there is additional spectrum left over that can be used to air other channels of programing. Small and independently owned businesses could take advantage of this capacity and use it to air their own programing.”
Los Angeles Gets A New Ballet Company
Los Angeles is littered with the bodies of those who have tried to start a ballet company. The latest effort – Los Angeles Ballet – is mindful of the past, and modest about its claims for the future. But the company has put together a solid core. “LAB has 21 dancers from around the country on contract for 22 weeks. Most are in their early- to mid-20s; some are teenagers straight out of elite training posts like the School of American Ballet.”
