“The first two months of 2009 made more money at the box office than any other January and February in the history of the movies. While higher ticket prices were a factor, attendance was also up 10 percent from the same time last year. If this weekend’s much-anticipated release of “Monsters vs. Aliens” does well, March could be another month for the record books.”

Now The Difficult Part – Putting The YouTube Orchestra Together
“After Leonard Bernstein passed away,” he says, “a memorial concert was given by players from orchestras he had worked with in Vienna, London, New York, and so on. I gave my downbeat and they came in with about six different attacks, because there was no agreement where ‘now’ was. We know from their auditions that the YouTube musicians play with great heart and skill, but it isn’t clear what is going to happen when we put them together.”
