The Architect Is Hot! (Feel The Power)
“What is it about architecture that makes it so attractive as a metaphorical job description? There’s Bill Walsh, the NFL coach who after he died last month was widely remembered as “the architect of the West Coast offense.” And Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, Osama bin Laden’s Rove, often is called the architect of 9/11. As the film makes clear, those were honest qualities, part innate personality and perhaps partly fueled by political tensions. Drama and turbulence were Nureyev’s constant companions until he died in 1993.”
Canadian Museum Changes Wall Text Under Pressure
“Under pressure from Bomber Command veterans’ groups and sympathetic politicians, the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa will adjust the wording on a panel dealing with the 1945 firebombing of Dresden.” Critics “warn of the precedent of a public museum adapting its texts in response to political pressure.”

Boston Symphony Starts $400 Million Campaign
“The campaign would pay for renovations at Symphony Hall and Tanglewood, and would boost the organization’s endowment, which, at about $400 million, is already the biggest in the orchestra world.”
