Are Humans Too Boring To Interest Aliens?

In some ways, we may have been wasting our telescope time.”

Artists Protest Arts Council England Funding Cuts

“It seems extraordinary to me there could have been nearly 200 organisations that were worth funding this year, that aren’t next year. It looks like cutting for the sake of cutting. I don’t understand the rationale for it. We are very concerned that many organisations were given little or no forewarning and some have been cut by regional offices when they aren’t regional organisations. There seems to be no central policy.”

American Dance Is Falling Behind

“Working with too little support is the condition of most American dance, while companies around the world obtain funding from their governments. Some very talented young American choreographers have opted to study and perform in Berlin and Brussels. Living is cheaper in those cities, and support for experimental dance can be found.”
